Work from home testers perform home-based tests on a product to find problems or issues before it is put into wide-scale production. These products can range from toys to kitchen tools to software. As a work from home tester of manufactured products, you review products for usability and effectiveness, reading user instructions and working through standard uses of the item. You also test the limits of its capabilities and ensure there are no safety or usability issues, then submit your findings to the company. The company then decides whether or not to adjust the product before manufacturing it for the public. Software testers work closely with software developers and programmers to evaluate new applications for bugs and unforeseen problems before introducing it to the public.
