Java Software Architect - Work From Home
You will join a team of experienced Software Architects and be responsible for leading the design and delivery of technical solutions that are aligned to client objectives. The Java Software Architect is critical in the elaboration of the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of projects. The Java Software Architect should be a thought leader who sets the development direction for the client and development teams. The Java Software Architect will focus on technical excellence to produce clear, maintainable, and extensible architectures using proven and well-understood design patterns. This is a 100% Remote opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Be a top-level contributor designing solutions for client projects.
- Be the go-to technical person for clients, project managers, and development teams.
- Help clients with strategic technical decisions.
- Provide strategic direction to internal development and product teams.
- Design end to end software architecture.
- Remain current with contemporary technologies and techniques.
- Possess, develop, and apply knowledge of trends, technologies, design patterns, and methodologies.
- Provide architectural guidance and oversight on solutions from inception through integration.
- Clearly document requirements, architectures, and designs.
- Work with the broader architecture team to document, evolve, and propagate best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master's degree in information technology; Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10-15+ years of experience in the software industry.
- 5 years as a Software Architect or Technical Lead.
- Advanced understanding of Java.
- Experience in a front-end framework, such as React or Angular.
- Experience in integration with legacy systems (Mainframe or IBM i) is an asset but not required.
