Job description

Telephone Triage
Work schedule: Part-time, .5 FTE, 40 hours each 2 week pay period, Benefits eligible. Evening/Night Shift Hours: Week 1- Mon 5p-12a, Tues 5p-11p; Week 2 - Thur 5p-10p, Fri 5p-11p, Sat and Sun 3:30p-11:30p
This position will train on-site at the COA main campus and then move to work from home role.
Summary:
This position will provide a registered nurse to return calls to patients during the hours in which the office is not open. The nurse will work from an off site location (home location), but will respond to and treat patients using the same procedure and guidelines of the onsite nurses.
Other information:
The nurse must have home accommodations to place equipment provided by the department and space to work. The equipment provided will include 2 phone lines, a fax machine, a PHIL Directory, a Barton Schmitt protocol book, paper and assessment forms. Must have Wifi access.
Education
  • Degree in Registered Nursing

Experience
  • Previous pediatric experience is required.

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
  • Current licensure with the Alabama Board of Nursing

Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing
