ANG SIGNAL is looking for a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the federal government in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will provide network engineering and support of the enterprise network to support the science mission of our federal client.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support on network and cabling issues
  • Support the LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites and data centers.
  • Troubleshoot network and cabling problems and coordinate with the various department administrators to facilitate troubleshooting efforts
  • Participate in lab configuration and testing of new technologies
  • Prepare network topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance plans and provide status reports as required
  • Participate in data calls and other operational and maintenance tasks
Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
  • 3+ years experience of Cisco ISE and/or Aruba wireless and Clearpass
  • Routers and Switches hands-on experience
  • Ability to communicate designs and network concepts to a variety of audiences, including peers and customers, verbally and in writing
  • Experience configuring and running firewalls is preferred
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol/technologies
  • Experience with Wireless networks implementation and support, preferrable Aruba
  • General understanding of project management processes and terminology
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is desirable
