Job Summary:
The CAD Specialist will focus on digitizing and editing floor plans of buildings accurately and efficiently using CAD-based technology (Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation). The CAD Specialist should be familiar and knowledgeable with Revit, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD products.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Digitize and edit floor plans accurately and efficiently
- Manage files, drawings, and maps for report output in various formats
- Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain documented standard operating procedures
- Stay updated on application upgrades and industry standards
- Create accurate and detailed CAD drawings using either LiDAR Scans and/or Redlines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and project completion
- May require creating and maintaining documentation
- Ability to participate in regular Teams Call
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or Technical School certificate in Computer Aided Design or related field, or minimum one year of experience
- U.S. citizenship (due to federal contract requirements)
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Solid understanding and experience with A/E/C CAD Standard 4.x (or later)
- Minimum 6-12 months experience in:
- MicroStation CAD (architectural application)
- AutoCAD (architectural application)
- Knowledge of architectural floor plans
- Familiarity with MicroStation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other industry-standard applications
- Experience with reading LiDAR scans
- Familiarity with Army regulations and organizational structure (preferred)
- Experience with AR 415-28, AR 405-70, and AR 420-1 is beneficial
