Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Technician Needed!
Portland, Oregon Area

Pay: $38+ per hour, based on skills and experience

Join an international transit manufacturer and parts distributor helping advance innovative, sustainable transportation solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with Hydrogen experience to support high-voltage electric and hybrid transit buses throughout Olympia, Centralia, Chehalis, Portland, Vancouver, and Hawaii. This hands-on position involves diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, completing repairs and maintenance, supporting new bus installations, and working directly with customers and transit property staff.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain hydrogen, electric and hybrid transit buses
  • Diagnose electrical wiring, circuits, components, and vehicle systems
  • Provide field support and technical expertise at customer locations
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new buses
  • Respond professionally to customer questions and communicate concerns to management or internal service representatives
  • Complete required service reports, paperwork, and documentation
  • Travel regionally throughout Olympia, Centralia, Chehalis, Portland, Vancouver, and Hawaii. as needed
Qualifications

  • Experience working with buses, trains, automobiles, military vehicles, heavy equipment, aircraft, or similar equipment
  • Hydrogen bus experience needed
  • At least 2 years of related experience in electrical, automotive HVAC, mechanical, or field service work
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring, circuit testing, troubleshooting, and general repair
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
  • High-voltage or hybrid training or certification is preferred
  • Experience with transit buses, hybrid systems, or electric-drive systems is preferred
  • CDL is a plus
Compensation and Travel

  • Starting pay of $38 per hour and up, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Regional travel throughout Olympia, Centralia, Chehalis, Portland, Vancouver, and Hawaii is required
