Material Planner

Trane Technologies is hiring an Material Planner in Clarksville TN. TheMaterial Planner is responsible for the accuracy of material supply plan and customer expedite process. In this role, you will coordinate with internal and external suppliers on past due purchase orders and updates purchase orders in order to maintain a timely and accurate supply plan; you will serve as initial escalation point for customer expedites and provide timely and accurate disposition to these requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate purchase order data and accurate supply plan within ERP system. Modifies order release due dates, quantities and closes purchase orders based on demand plan.
  • Conducts initial supplier coordination for customer expedite requests. Maintains accurate and timely communication with all effected parties and escalates as appropriate.
  • Monitors supplier delivery performance. Conducts initially resolution of suppliers past due supply and supplier delivery issues to insure accurate supply plan is maintained.
  • Works with suppliers to expedite or defer materials as dictated by changes in internal and external customer requirements and to meet production and inventory goals.
  • Conducts problem solving (9SPS / A3) and participates in facility RIE's as directed by team leader or site material management leadership.
  • Collects information, complies into standard formats, prepares monthly reports and other management reports as requires.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or 3-5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes.
  • Microsoft office suite experience a plus
  • Ability to understand manufacturing engineering processes and to interpret blueprints.
  • Must possess good mathematical skills and the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • ERP system experience preferred

$51,800.00 - $93,309.99
