Job description

SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the College's Frances M. Franklin Academic Alliance with wrap-around support services and resources for students from low to moderate income backgrounds. Provides materials and organizes student workshops, plans meetings, and develops communications with students, faculty, and staff. Encourages, motivates, and supports students and assists with family emergencies that are barriers to educational access, work-based learning, and student success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides support to the Academic Alliance program activity and community engagement programs, monitors goals and status of participating students, and monitors implementation of community development activities/resources.
  • Serves as a liaison between the College and external partners to administer programs and services. 
  • Serves as a liaison between the College and external partners to meet common objectives to support student success. 
  • Provides additional support to current and perspective Academic Alliance students to connect them to College resources and programs. 
  • Supports and updates team members in the research and development of strategic initiatives related to access, community outreach, and student retention support programs.
  • Facilitates effective communication and collaboration within the College amongst faculty, staff, administration, and students.
  • Maintains and coordinates an effective and efficient data management process that guides strategic direction, decision-making, and resource development for the division and its programs. 
  • Works collaboratively with department to identify resources for program development, delivery, and sustainability. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
