Secretary III (Administrative Assistant)

The Secretary III (Administrative Assistant) provides advanced administrative and clerical support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Orlando, FL. This role supports government leadership and staff by performing a wide range of administrative functions, ensuring efficient office operations, and facilitating coordination across teams.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a structured federal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to NSWC personnel and leadership
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, briefings, and official documentation
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and organize files, records, and documentation in accordance with federal and DoD requirements
  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative inquiries and communications
  • Track tasks, action items, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and maintaining spreadsheets and databases
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare travel documentation as required
  • Support meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, and minutes
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and email distribution
  • Maintain office supplies and support general office operations
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and organization of administrative records
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required
