Job description

The world still has coverage blind spots. You could help eliminate them at Skylo.
Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity. We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites. No special hardware, no entirely new networks. Just billions of existing devices, suddenly reachable anywhere on Earth. We're not building toward this future. We're already in it.
Our direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers, in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. And we're just getting started.
At the heart of it all is Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN: a 3GPP standards-based, cloud-native platform that seamlessly bridges terrestrial and satellite networks. It's the infrastructure that makes true anywhere, anytime connectivity possible.
When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping how the world stays connected: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. Enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places.
This is a rare chance to work on technology that matters, at a company that's already proving it works
Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo
Skylo is hiring a Principal Product Manager to own how the global device ecosystem (chipsets, modules, OEMs, and test vendors) adopts Skylo. You will also drive Skylo's device program, coordinating across sales, sales engineering, and certification to support MNOs standing up the program. You are expected to know the industry pulse, navigate across engineering, commercial, standards, and certification teams, and pursue opportunities independently against today's roadmap and toward bets we haven't named yet. We move at startup pace. The role will evolve based on what the right person brings to it.
How You Will Contribute
  • Own Skylo's product relationships with the chipset, module, OEM, and test-equipment ecosystem. You will define how Skylo invests its engineering and integration capacity, balancing customer reach with technical feasibility.
  • Partner with the chipset and test-vendor ecosystem to drive industry adoption of Skylo's NTN stack and the underlying 3GPP features, keeping the standards-to-product translation tight.
  • Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows for partner prioritization, spec impact analysis, and certification quality bar updates.
  • Partner with the Certification team to continuously evolve the existing Skylo Certified program. You will sharpen acceptance criteria, raise the quality bar, close the loop between field issues and future certification standards, and be a key voice in no-go decisions when partners cannot meet the bar.
  • Be the key driver of Skylo's device program, coordinating across sales, sales engineering, and certification to support MNOs standing up the program. You will connect what the ecosystem can deliver to what MNOs need to launch.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities that move Skylo's current and future lines of business without being asked. You bring the next bet, not wait for one.
  • Use AI to synthesize field failure data into structured certification standard revisions before engineering escalation.

What We Look For
  • 12+ years in product management, wireless systems engineering, or device ecosystem roles. Master's counts toward years.
  • Experience driving programs that specify chipset, module, or device requirements with shipped outcomes you can walk through end-to-end.
  • Can describe a specific AI workflow they built for a recurring PM task - with artifact, time saved, and teammates who adopted it.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence external partner roadmaps to support service goals.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP standards, modem behavior, RF, and certification methodology.
  • AI-native operator. You use modern AI tooling in your daily workflow and can describe exactly how.

What We Offer
With employees working across three continents, Skylo is proud to be an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. Our worldwide and inclusive culture encourages a flexible approach to work, and we also offer an attractive range benefits such as:
  • Competitive compensation packages including a stock option based equity program
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan
  • Monthly allowances for wellness and education reimbursement
  • A generous time off policy, holidays, and the opportunity to temporarily work abroad
  • Once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of developing and running world's first commercial, live direct-to-device satellite network and service
  • Access to world-class team and talent across tech domains: software, hardware, chipsets, telecom, satellite and network virtualization
  • Open, transparent, inclusive culture that blends the Silicon Valley, Nordic and South Asia characteristics

Additional information
The compensation range for this position is: $225,000 - $240,000 + equity. This range reflects the low and high end of the range Skylo reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role.
