  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with systematic phonics programs and science of reading research, and common challenges such as vowel pattern confusion, consonant blend difficulties, and transferring decoding skills to connected text. Adapts instruction using decodable readers, word sorting activities, and multisensory letter formation practice to support emergent and struggling readers from pre-kindergarten through elementary levels.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
