Job Summary:
Global Pharma Tek is seeking a WordPress Web Developer to join their Digital Services team. The role focuses on building responsive, pixel-perfect designs using WordPress and ensuring that all websites meet digital accessibility standards.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain WordPress websites with a focus on pixel-perfect design implementation and write semantic well-commented code.
• Work with the ITS Digital Services team to integrate and ensure responsiveness and performance.
• Utilize WordPress Block Editor and Full Site Editing capabilities, using *** Digital Services in house university theme.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress theme development and testing.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and communicate clearly to ensure project requirements are met.
• Work with the ** Digital Accessibility Office to ensure all websites meet WCAG AA standards.
• Write training documents for site owners.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Ability to debug CSS and JavaScript effectively.
• Customer service-oriented attitude with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in coding semantic HTML and CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience in designing and creating WordPress-based websites.
• Solid understanding of ADA/Accessibility markup and best practices to meet WCAG 2.0 AA.
• Strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proven experience as a WordPress developer with strong HTML and CSS skills.
