Job Summary: -This role performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures. -Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations. -Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including biopsies, cardiac CT, and post-processing. -Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation. -Operate CT equipment and select technical factors and positioning/safety devices. -Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time. -Document all related data. -Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self. -Other responsibilities. -Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics. -Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems. -Resolve and escalate complex issues. -Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
Document all related data.
Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
Other Responsibilities
Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
Resolve and escalate complex issues.
Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
