Job description

Basic Function:
Greet clients and visitors; determine their needs and relay information or direct them accordingly.
Perform clerical work of routine but varied nature in conjunction with moderate but proficient typing.
Answer telephones and perform similar duties.


Responsibilities:
Under direction ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Operate several incoming telephone lines.
Place, receive and route phone calls; may provide telephone directory assistance. Take accurate telephone messages.
Greet and direct clients and other visitors and relay information, either in person, through email or on the telephone.
Type and proofread records, reports, letters, or other assigned material, often of a confidential nature, in accordance with prescribed procedures. Maintain files and records as necessary.
Sort and distribute incoming mail, weigh and stamp outgoing mail.
Assure that reception area is neat and orderly. 
May provide information on usage of supplies or merchandise and ensure that they are available as needed.
May accept and receive fees or balance cash.
Will use office equipment, such as a calculator, photocopier, FAX, typewriter, computer or word processor.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.


Requirements:
Combination of education and experience normally represented by High School diploma, or equivalent, and has experience handling multiple telephone lines, or the ability to be trained.
Ability to show patience and courtesy when working with people is a necessity.
Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software.
Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check

Salary Range: $13-$15 based on experience 

Second shift from 2 PM - 7pm - T-TH, with the flexibility to rotate between two sites.
