Description
Temporary staffing focused on high-impact, time-sensitive operational needs during the summer term. Responsible for providing customer service to students who inquire, apply, attend, or withdraw from the College. This includes electronic and manual data collection, data entry, and filing as well as in-person and phone interactions.
This position is grant funded, with funding until August 31, 2026.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work at the College's information counter, phone center and or data entry center.
  • Assist new and returning students in all processes related to Admissions and Registration office functions.
  • Respond to inquiries from all Student Services Center Departments.
  • Assist the Registrar in the coordination and training of part-time personnel and Student Workers.
  • Actively participates in the recruitment process through the College's sponsored programs and through informal interactions with the community.
  • Process credit and Community Enrichment registrations, drop/add forms, and withdrawal forms. Maintain relevant files.
  • Assist in processing all chargeback acceptance/refusal forms for students attending other colleges.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Preferred: Associates Degree preferred
Experience Required:
  • At least one (1) to three (3) years of related work experience in student services.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse population.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • General working knowledge of personal computer, word-processing software, databases and spreadsheets.
  • General knowledge of financial aid programs and academic advising.

  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding work environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer based programs including word processing, graphical presentations, database, spreadsheets, and electronic mail.
  • Ability to input, update and maintain both manual and electronic filing systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written) with students, employees, other members of the College community, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain and control confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

Additional Information
INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
