Job description

The Position: We are looking for someone who has experience handling dough and making pizza to join our Mobile Events Team. You must be able to work extremely fast and with precise attention to detail. You need to be comfortable with our unique dough in all kinds of conditions because we will be outdoors in the elements. It is important that you are able to work in a clean, organized manner and also maintain professionalism because this is an open kitchen. We welcome warm, friendly, outgoing personalities that are able to interact with all of our customers from all walks of life. You will be cross-trained on all positions, too, and must be willing to step in to help wherever is necessary. This job is physically demanding, and some heavy lifting is required.

The Company:
Bad Johnny's is a three-part business centered around wood-fired pizza: Full-time Kitchen inside The Long Room; Private Catering; Food Vendor at Large-scale Public Events and Festivals. Our pizza, a hybrid of two Roman styles, is entirely unique to Chicago. All of our ingredients and methods are the absolute best. Our service standards are also very high, as we aim to provide generous hospitality in everything we do and maintain professionalism at all times.
More about this position: You will be paid $18/hour but after tips will earn anywhere from $25-35/hour. You will be hired as a part-time/seasonal 1099 Contractor, as the schedule varies week to week. The event schedule runs from Memorial Day through October, with most events happening Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays. This job is for someone looking to work part-time on the weekends during this period. Some of the days may be long (10-12 hours when necessary), and you will be on your feet the whole time. It will also be a lot of fun. We have a great team that works inccredibly hard and also love what they do. This is a very unique opportunity to join us, and we are excited to meet you.
