Job description

Westside Wood Refinishing is currently seeking an experienced Spray Wood Refinisher to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in spray finishing and wood restoration, including furniture, hardwood floors, doors, wall panels, and other custom architectural woodwork. This position requires hands-on expertise using spray equipment for stains, sealers, lacquers, and protective finishes, along with general refinishing and restoration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare wood surfaces for finishing (sanding, stripping, cleaning, masking)
  • Apply stains, sealers, lacquers, and finishes using spray equipment (HVLP and/or conventional systems)
  • Perform wood restoration and refinishing on furniture, doors, panels, trim, and architectural woodwork
  • Color matching, blending, and touch-up repairs
  • Repair scratches, dents, and surface damage to restore original appearance
  • Work with hand tools and power tools as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
  • Follow project specifications and quality standards on all assignments

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in wood refinishing with strong emphasis on spray finishing (required)
  • Proven ability to operate spray equipment for stains, sealers, and clear coats
  • Strong experience in color matching and finish blending
  • Knowledge of wood types, grain patterns, and finishing systems
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in fast-paced commercial environments

Requirements (Mandatory):

  • Must pass a spray finishing test before hire (quality, consistency, and color matching will be evaluated)
