Job description

The purpose of the WMS Solution Support Specialist is to serve as the ultimate liaison between Covenant's warehouse operations, external parties (including vendors and customers), and Covenant's WMS Department. This role assists our internal developers, maintains our WMS environment, and works hand in hand with our operations. The WMS Solution Support Specialist understands and enjoys working with the business operations and technology aspects of warehouse operations. The WMS Solution Support Specialist is a subject matter expert of all systems and processes utilized by Distribution Operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Frontline WMS support including hardware, network, and conveyance support.
  • Work in collaboration with the IT and Operational teams to help resolve issues, introduce new functionality, generate reports, and provide day to day maintenance on the WMS.
  • Create and modify reports using SQL queries and current front-end tools (Page Editor/SSRS/Domo).
  • Responsible for working with site management to update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documentation.
  • Assist in the translating business requirements into technical design documents using MS Visio, Lucid Charts, Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Assist in training of customers, management team and end-users.
  • Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for being subject matter expert (SME) on HighJump WA product.
  • Responsible for working with the WMS team and operations to test and assist in the implementation of new Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to configure basic WMS & Hardware needs, and debug/troubleshoot WMS issues.
  • Knows and understands how the operations works.
  • Has experience with WMS issues from operations.
  • Has experience pulling and analyzing data.
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, analytical and a natural problem solver. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage. 
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills with strong people skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of WMS concepts (Receiving, Putaway, Replenishment, Slotting, Allocation, Picking, Packing, Task Management, Shipping, and Invoicing.)
  • Ability to understand scope, objectives of business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Ability to review HJ WMS configuration and determine what additional configuration and/or system modifications would be required to satisfy requirements.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and 365)
  • Ability to work independently or in group settings, as needed.
  • Great attitude and commitment to get the job done.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience with SQL.
  • Minimum of 2 years direct experience and knowledge of configurations, implementations, troubleshooting, and support for HighJump WA WMS (preferred) or other WMS software (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP, Softeon, Oracle).
  • Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, configuration and setup Zebra Printers/Zebra RFs.
  • Experience leading WMS testing - Functional Testing, Regression Testing, UAT, etc.
  • Experience in Supply Chain applications.
  • Experience with other WMS solutions such as Yard Management, Slotting Optimization, Voice Picking, etc.
  • EDI Integration experience preferred.
  • Experience with PANDA & conveyance support and integration preferred.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.

  • Expected Pay Range: $64,535.00-$73,408.16
  • Full Pay Range: $64,535.00-$101,270.00
  • Pay Grade: 10
