Job description

ByVerTek is now seeking a Warehouse Associate that will be responsible for maintaining secure inventory storage and accurate control of materials entering and leaving the warehouse. This role leverages warehouse technology, inventory management systems, and digital tools to support efficient receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and mobile devices to track inventory movement in real time
  • Receive incoming shipments against bills of lading and purchase orders; verify quantities and condition of goods using digital systems
  • Accurately update inventory records in ERP/WMS platforms in accordance with company and audit standards
  • Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations using system-directed put-away processes
  • Process customer and internal orders, returns, and stock requests through inventory and billing systems
  • Generate and review digital pick lists, packing slips, and shipping documentation
  • Coordinate and fulfill material deliveries to field technicians and company locations, ensuring accurate system tracking
  • Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories using scanning technology and inventory software
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages through system workflows
  • Maintain warehouse security, organization, and cleanliness at all times
  • Properly use and maintain warehouse technology including RF scanners, tablets, and computer systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology and process improvements
  • Provide timely and professional service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or similar inventory software preferred
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning technology, mobile warehouse devices, and digital workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to maintain accurate digital records and documentation
  • Capability to safely operate material handling equipment (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company and DOT standards
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
  • Ability to use ladders and other weight-bearing equipment within safety limits
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse, logistics, or inventory control experience preferred
  • Experience with cable, telecommunications, or related materials is a plus
  • Experience working in a technology-enabled warehouse environment is highly desirable
Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, moderate to loud noise levels, and varying environmental conditions. The role regularly utilizes digital tools and systems to perform daily tasks.
