Job description

DC Engineer
We are looking for a Distribution Engineer to join our global DRiV team. This position will lead the development / implementation of complex material handling systems & layouts within the global DC facilities. Includes implementation of automation systems, improving through put and reducing operational cost through adv data analysis & engineering principles.
The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our hiring manager. We pride ourselves on moving through this process quickly, with transparency and prompt communication throughout.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify, plan, and oversee DC improvement projects to include plant safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Define project scope and objectives.
  • Develop detailed timing plans with functional milestones to support project objectives; execute plan within established timing.
  • Create project financial model to include capital equipment, investment ROI, labor cost / savings & manage project spending forecast.
  • Provide project updates regularly to executive leadership team.
  • Research and analyze best practices in manufacturing concepts and trends for applicability; stay current and leverage today's emerging technologies to benefit DRiV.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, cross-functional deliverable, and detailed timelines.
  • Engage third-party vendors to quote and source equipment and services necessary for projects.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain is required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 4-10 years directly relevant experience with:
      • Process Development
      • SOR Development
      • CAPEX RFQs and quote assessment
      • Industry 4.0
  • Strong technical background with passion for distribution technology with a desire and ability to envision new concepts including.
      • Automation
      • Warehouse management systems (WMS)
      • AI and data analytics
      • Simulation
  • Proven experience and passion for Lean Manufacturing.
  • Excellent project management skills include developing / managing a project plan, establishing project priorities, working to deadlines, and controlling multiple projects in various states of readiness to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Experience in capital equipment financial model development
  • Experience working in cross functional teams in a warehouse, technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and channels of the organization to resolve issues and overcome barriers.
