Job description

Responsibilities

1. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage contracts and negotiate terms with various vendors, including carriers and warehouse operators, specifically for VMI Hub operations.

  • Oversee vendor billing, including meticulous invoice verification and cost validation to ensure financial accuracy.

  • Monitor SLA (Service Level Agreement) compliance and drive continuous performance improvement among service providers.

2. Inventory & System Administration

  • Monitor inventory and inbound/outbound data utilizing WMS (Warehouse Management System) and other integrated logistics systems.

  • Analyze and resolve operational issues, such as inventory discrepancies, cargo damages, or transit delays, to maintain supply chain integrity.

3. Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication between customers and vendors to ensure seamless information flow.

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments (Operations, Customs, Finance, etc.) to resolve issues and enhance overall process efficiency.

  • Prepare regular performance reports and professional materials for customer-facing presentations.

4. Strategic Improvement & Optimization

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize the VMI model.

  • Drive continuous improvement within the hub to meet evolving business needs and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in logistics, SCM, freight forwarding, or warehouse operations.

  • Proven experience in vendor management and cost settlement.

  • Hands-on experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and other logistics-related systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • High proficiency in data management tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Prior experience in VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) operations or battery/manufacturing logistics.

  • Solid knowledge of customs procedures and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean

Pay

The base salary range for this role is between $60,000-$80,000 yearly, and your base salary will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
