SSL Law Firm LLP, a reputable real estate law firm with offices in San Francisco and San Rafael is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment to join our dynamic team.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare, revise, and format a wide range of legal documents.

· Creating shell documents for pleadings and other filings.

· Manage complex calendaring, scheduling, and docketing.

· Handle state and federal conventional and electronic court filings.

· Ensure code-compliant service of process.

· Coordinate attorney travel arrangements, expense reports, and billing.

· Research and interpret local court rules.

· Schedule court calls, appearances, hearings, and depositions.

· Assist in preparation for trial including managing exhibits and all evidentiary matters, witness lists, files and subpoenas, coordinates and attends witness prep meetings.


Required Qualifications For Success:

· 5+ years of litigation legal secretarial experience.

· Extensive experience with California state and federal litigation.

· Strong knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure and local court rules.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe, and experience with ProLaw and NetDocs preferred.

· Strong knowledge of and experience with an electronic document management system, time-entry program and calendaring program.

· Must have expertise in e-filing procedures

· Strong understanding of filing deadlines and court requirements.

· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Able to work independently as well as with the team.

· Able to juggle multiple assignments and/or deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor and timely seek assistance when needed.

· Reliable with punctuality and attendance.
