Job description

The primary function of the Diesel Technician is to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium duty trucks. Individual will perform a variety of tasks on heavy-duty trucks, large construction vehicles, and buses. Those tasks include Inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, installation and repair of components, engines, systems related to the heavy duty and medium duty vehicles.

Essential Functions:
  • Repair and Maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments and machine tools
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear, repair engine/driveline/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer based diagnostic programs
  • Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearings, electrical system, and air system

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a technician
  • Ability to display knowledge of diesel and gas engines
  • Ability to display knowledge of repair procedures
