Our engineers help architect, research, and design, Apple's world-class wireless products. All members of the numerous teams within the organization bring their own unique expertise to collectively bring wireless technologies to our products, following Apple's culture of excellence in engineering principles and practices.
Description
The job role will entail wireless performance research focused primarily on understanding how various factors like antenna performance, modem performance, SAR, RF algorithms, user interaction with device, channel conditions, co-ex and interference will impact wireless performance and in turn the end user experience. You will use these findings to work with cross-functional teams to help drive antenna, wireless algorithms and system level design and architecture changes.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
Strong understanding of cellular, WiFi or GNSS technologies.
Test automation experience. Python preferred and fluency with AI tools.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years industry experience in RF and/or wireless systems.
Experience working on physical layer wireless algorithms.
Strong background in wireless communications.
Capturing and analyzing baseband logs to root cause performance issues.
