Job description

Overview

SUMMER 2027

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

Theย Global Compliance Engineering Intern will support the certification and compliance activities that enable Shure products to be sold worldwide.ย Working alongside experienced compliance engineers, you will gain exposure to product safety, electromagneticย compatibilityย (EMC), wireless regulatory requirements, andย global market access (GMA).ย ย 

Theย position offers hands-on experience with testing,ย technical documentation, data analysis, compliance processes, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.ย ย 

This Internship is Hybrid in Niles, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Support EMC, product safety,ย and wireless regulatory projects.ย 
  • Assistย engineers with laboratoryย testing and evaluation of audio, wireless, and networking products.ย 
  • Collect,ย organize,ย analyze,ย andย documentย complianceย testย data and certification records.ย ย 
  • Participate inย project meetingsย and collaborate with engineering teams to understandย product development and compliance requirements.ย ย 
  • Participate in data collection, entry, and analysis.ย 
Qualifications
  • Pursuing aย Bachelor'sย orย Advancedย degree inย electrical,ย mechanical, electronics,ย or relatedย technicalย field.ย 
  • Completion of at leastย two years ofย undergraduateย coursework.ย ย ย ย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Excellentย written,ย verbal, and interpersonalย communication skills.ย 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.ย 
  • Familiarity withย laboratory test equipment such asย oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, or network analyzersย a plus.ย 
  • Curiosity and enthusiasmย for learningย international regulations, standards and compliance processes.ย

Each internship has an hourly rate which varies from $23-$43 per hour based on job function (Engineering, IT, Business, etc) and year completed in school (Junior, Masters 2nd year, PHD, etc).ย
