Trucking Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Safety Specialist to assist with day-to-day field operations for our trucking division. This position plays a critical role in supporting drivers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining communication across teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for drivers and dispatchers, addressing attendance issues and ensuring timely communication.
  • Collaborating closely with the Safety Manager to ensure field operations comply with company safety policies and standards.
  • Coordinating with external repair vendors by initiating service requests, negotiating pricing, and reviewing invoices for accuracy.
  • Supporting the implementation and enforcement of company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assisting with driver recruitment and onboarding, including participating in interviews and conducting safety orientations.
  • Organizing and leading regular safety meetings and training sessions for drivers.
  • Managing yard inventory and optimizing space utilization to maintain an efficient and organized yard.

Qualifications include:

  • Entry level to 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic with a high level of reliability, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for data entry and communication.
