About the Role

We are seeking a highly experiencedEnterprise Network Engineerto join our fast-growing IT services organization, reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional with15+ years of progressive networking experience, including10+ years of enterprise-scale network architecture and implementation.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with exceptional communication skills and a strong consultative approach. In addition to leading complex design and deployment efforts, this individual will be actively involved inpre-sales engineering,customer-facing solution design, andexecutive-level consulting engagements.


This role requires fluency in advanced networking principles, enterprise security, and modern network architecture practices. Experience withFortinet and/or Arista technologies is strongly preferred. Position will require 25% travel.


Key Responsibilities


  • Enterprise Network Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of complex, multi-site network infrastructures, including data center, WAN, cloud, wireless, and security components.
  • Consulting & Advisory Services: Serve as a strategic advisor to enterprise clients, aligning network design with business goals and risk posture.
  • Pre-Sales Solutioning: Support the sales team in scoping opportunities, conducting technical discovery, building solution architectures, and contributing to proposal development and client presentations.
  • Technology Leadership: Define best practices, reference architectures, and solution standards for networking projects. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
  • Security Integration: Architect and implement secure network environments, incorporating zero-trust principles, segmentation, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, SOX).
  • Automation & Monitoring: Leverage tools such as Ansible, Python, and modern monitoring platforms to streamline operations, improve visibility, and enable proactive network management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO), solution architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure timely, successful project delivery.
  • Industry Engagement: Stay informed on emerging networking trends and technologies. Represent the organization in vendor engagements, webinars, and industry forums as needed.


Qualifications


  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, designing and implementing enterprise-class network solutions
  • Proven track record of high-level consulting and executive communication, particularly in enterprise or Fortune 1000 environments
  • Demonstrated success in pre-sales engineering, solution development, and technical leadership roles
  • Deep expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), WAN optimization, SD-WAN, network segmentation, NAC, and wireless technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet (NGFW, SD-WAN, NAC) and/or Arista (EVPN-VXLAN, CloudVision, spine-leaf architectures)
  • Preferred certifications: Fortinet FCP / NSE 8, Arista ACE Level 3, CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP, or other advanced credentials
  • Strong familiarity with network automation and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Python, Terraform preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident to comply with export control requirements
