Job description

Transfer Settlement Analyst

The primary responsibility of the ACAT team is to provide effective transaction processing and exceptional client service that both guards the firm’s capital and reputation and creates measurable value for the firm and its clients. The new ACAT Analyst will be required to handle multiple functions including reconciliation of automated account transfer receives, delivers, residuals, mutual funds, foreign and domestic settlements. The Analyst will be expected to manage relationships with PWM Sales teams, counterparties and vendors. They will need to meet required deadlines and comply with industry rules. The Analyst will be expected to escalate any issues and minimize firm exposure to financial, reputational, and regulatory risk. The Analyst’s day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating transfer requests which moves assets into and out of the firm. They will perform account verification and asset review to ensure transfers are compliant with firm and industry policies. They will also be assigned projects that require data analysis to depict trends and streamline processes.

Job Duties:

  • Analyst will initiate transfer requests from client signed ACAT instruction to bring assets into the firm. This will require attention to detail with the understanding of industry and system requirements.
  • Perform reconciliation of incoming wires by reviewing the external instructions and notifying PWM Sales team to input matching instructions.
  • Facilitate account transfer delivery through a completing series of steps to notify internal teams, receive proper approvals, and account termination.
  • Project work that requires data analysis to identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual touchpoints

Position Description:

  • Position-level reconciliation of all account requested form counter parties/clients
  • Oversight of residual positions following ACAT transfers
  • Pre-population of ACAT transfer forms
  • Foreign and domestic settlements
  • Find innovative ways to create efficiencies and increase controls
  • Provide superior client service while mitigating risk

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years operations experience (familiarity with ACATS & settlement operations preferred, not required)
  • Strong PC, MS Office and Web skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
