Wire EDM Programmer/Operator – 1st and 2nd Shift

Job Function

Work with verbal as well as written instruction. Must have knowledge of Programming and CNC operations and set-up procedure. Machining of components must meet Brunk’s high quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy and quality an all jobs.
  • Operate and understand the use of hand tools, grinding machinery, milling machinery, drill presses, lathe, band saw, heat-treating ovens, optical comparator, measuring devices, micrometers, calipers and die hoists.
  • Operate CNC and Programming software and other related software.
  • Possess tools of the trade.
  • Perform mathematics and geometric functions and possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Work is in a manufacturing setting with noise and some grinding dust.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 100 to 2500 lbs. using die carts.
  • Must wear protective shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection while working around loud noises.
Required Skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and seek out sources for help when needed.
  • Basic or above average math skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing in various increments.
  • Ability to read and understand documents.
  • Ability to program EDM Machines.
