Job description

Job Title: Assembler C 

Job Location: L2419 , USA-UT-Salt Lake City-S 300 W

Job Schedule: 9/80 

Job Description:

This role performs a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks in a Repair and Overhaul environment. The position requires reading and interpreting technical documents, work instructions, engineering guidance, and blueprint specifications. Responsibilities include wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. The role may also train less experienced team members and support process improvement efforts to enhance quality, cost, and schedule performance. 

Essential Functions:

  • Prior solder experience required in a manufacturing environment, J-STD certification a plus
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and fixturing
  • Must use PPE appropriate to the use of chemicals and protection from other hazards
  • Must be able to lift at least 32 pounds
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings and shop orders
  • Communicates with operations team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures
  • Must understand general manufacturing and repair processes
  • Identifies assembly process improvements to support e3 cost savings initiatives
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into SAP ERP system 

Qualifications:

Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment
  • J-STD-001 solder and IPC-610 inspection certification
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
