About the Role:
Spartronics is seeking a talented Soldering Specialist with strong soldering skills to join our high-tech, fast-growing team. In this role, you'll help build advanced electronic products that make a real impact, using your precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to ensure top-tier quality.

Spartronics is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500, awarded based on performance on the skills assessment.
At Spartronics, we offer comprehensive contract manufacturing services, including printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), subsystem integration, and full-box builds (high-level assemblies). We also provide value-added services, ranging from early-stage engineering support to manufacturing testing, design for excellence, and sustaining engineering, covering the full product lifecycle. With over $500 million in revenue, approximately 1,100 dedicated employees, and manufacturing resources strategically located worldwide, our manufacturing network spans the United States and Vietnam.
Work Schedule:
  • 4-day/10-hour work week.
  • Shift 1: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Shift 2: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM; plus a shift differential of $1.50.
  • Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform hand soldering of basic SMT and through-hole components under supervision.
  • Support operation of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment for SMT and through-hole boards.
  • Inspect own work for visible defects and escalate issues as needed.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and maintain compliance with ESD and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized soldering workstation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR).
  • Contribute to process documentation, training, and ongoing improvements that drive operational success.
  • Perform other duties or support other areas as needed, based on business requirements or production flow.
  • Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of soldering experience in manufacturing or related environments.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions and basic technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in operating soldering and inspection tools.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified or trained to IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards.
  • Experience soldering aerospace, defense, or medical device assemblies.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing activities.

Key Metrics and Focus Areas:
  • Accuracy and quality of soldering work.
  • Adherence to work instructions and safety requirements.
  • Support of production flow in soldering and AOI operations.

Physical Requirement:
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods at soldering stations.
  • Lift and handle materials or boards up to 20 lbs.
  • Fine manual dexterity for soldering and inspection tasks.
  • Use of microscopes and small tools for extended durations.
  • Work in ESD-controlled production environments.

Compensation: Compensation is based on experience in manufacturing, education, and prior experience in electronics manufacturing.
