Job description

Job Description:

  • Location: Heath, OH (100% onsite).
  • 6 months contract (possible extension based on performance and budget)
  • Must be available for both 2nd and 3rd shift: (2nd shift: 2:30pm to 11pm & 3rd shift: 11pm – 6am), after training, manager will decide which shift to assign to candidates.
  • Willingness to work with Beryllium and/or chemicals is needed.
  • Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
  • Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
  • Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
  • Works under supervision.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high School diploma/GED)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • 1 or more years of experience working with tools and following work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills required including Microsoft office applications.
  • Willingness to work with Beryllium and/or chemicals is needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units.
  • 1 or more years experience soldering and assembly of equipment components.
  • 1 or more years experience using handheld tools and/or power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 1 or more years working under a microscope.
