The Wiring Technician is responsible for installing, routing, terminating, and testing electrical wiring and components according to electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. This position performs electrical assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting activities while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical wiring, control panels, electrical components, and interpreting electrical drawings. This position works closely with electricians, engineers, and other team members to complete electrical builds accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Utilizes and abides by all safety procedures.
  • Install, route, label, and terminate electrical wiring according to schematics, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring of electrical components, panels, equipment, and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Install electrical components including switches, sensors, relays, terminals, breakers, and control devices.
  • Perform wire preparation including cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and routing.
  • Ensure proper wire sizing, connections, routing, and organization.
  • Perform continuity checks and basic electrical testing to verify proper installation.
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and identify incorrect connections or electrical concerns.
  • Assist electricians and other team members with electrical installations and modifications.
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting completed work for accuracy and functionality.
  • Follow electrical safety procedures and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Complete required documentation and production records accurately.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Documents actions with correct forms.
  • Willing to perform other manufacturing tasks as directed and when needed.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–3 years of electrical wiring, electrical assembly, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Experience using electrical hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, and other electrical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
