JOB OVERVIEW

The Adv, IT Software Architect responsible for overseeing Cloud and Server Management activities. The department has experienced an increase in cloud-focused initiatives over the past two years as a result of business strategy and additional project opportunities. There is a strategic plan to transition towards cloud-based solutions, which will expand the organization's presence within the cloud sector as various projects move from datacenter environments to the Azure cloud platform. Additionally, MB NAFTA Regional team now manages server software requirements, representing a new responsibility for the Infrastructure and Operations department. This position covers duties across five Data Center locations as well as cloud environments within NAFTA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Azure Cloud and Wintel server capacity management (30%): 
o    Management and monitoring of servers
o    Managing capacity requests from teams
o    Providing cost projections on operating system usage
o    Performing and defining backup solutions and retention policies for applications
o    Handing all audit related tasks specific to the azure cloud and datacenter environment
    Configure azure cloud environment for MB NAFTA Regional applications. Certification of Wintel OS platforms. Monitoring of environments using tools such as VMWare; SolarWinds, cloud native etc. Manage the OS software for all environments. (25%)
    Assume lead role on architecting solutions for Enterprise Portfolio Management project, infrastructure project and departmental initiatives that fall under the azure cloud and Wintel domain. Work across application domains to define and implement strategic initiatives from the MB NAFTA Regional IT teams. (20%)
    Research and evaluate industry trends and new technologies in server management. Partner with regional and global colleagues to build a discipline around the cloud and server topic. Prepare recommend changes to the existing environment for efficiency and cost savings. (15%)
    Assign azure and data specific tasks to other employees and contractors as needed. Track and monitor progress of assignments given. Report status of other services in azure and cloud (5%)
 

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) with emphasis on:

    Information Technology
    Computer Science/ Computer Engineering
    Or similar degree, or equivalent experience

Certifications :
    Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certified (AZ-900)
    Microsoft Security Compliance identity Fundamentals Certified (SC-900)
    Microsoft Data fundamentals Certified (DP-900)
    Microsoft AI fundamentals Certified (AI-900)
    Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Certified (AZ-104)
    Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)

Must have 10 - 15 years (total) of experience in the following:

    Middleware environments
