Working in a wine group often involves balancing a strong understanding of wine production with the business demands of distribution and sales. Building relationships with both internal teams and external clients is crucial, as is adapting to fast-paced environments during peak periods like harvest or major sales events. To prepare, candidates should familiarize themselves with the basics of viticulture, stay current on wine industry news, and be ready to collaborate across departments such as marketing, logistics, and hospitality.

What is a wine group?

A Wine Group is typically a collective of individuals or organizations involved in the wine industry, such as a company that produces, markets, and distributes wines. It may also refer to a social club where members gather to taste, discuss, and learn about different wines. In a corporate context, Wine Groups often manage multiple wine brands and vineyards, overseeing everything from grape cultivation to sales.
