**Job Title:** Grill Cook

**Location:** Wilder at Windy Hill

**Job Description:**

Wilder at Windy Hill Farm and Preserve is seeking a skilled and dependable Grill Cook to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for executing grilled menu items and preparing house-made sauces that reflect our commitment to quality ingredients, thoughtful technique, and an elevated farm-forward dining experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare and execute grilled menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Prepare, reduce, season, and finish sauces, glazes, and compound butters to accompany grilled dishes
  • Maintain consistency, flavor balance, and presentation across all grill and sauce components
  • Set up, maintain, and break down the grill and saucier stations before and after service
  • Monitor cooking temperatures, holding procedures, and food quality throughout service
  • Assist with recipe execution, batch preparation, and proper storage of sauces and stocks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Track inventory and communicate prep needs, shortages, or quality concerns to kitchen leadership
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely, coordinated service
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
  • Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as needed

**Qualifications:**

  • Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or saucier preferred
  • Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, sauces, reductions, emulsions, and seasoning
  • Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen best practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
