Job description

The Windows Vulnerability Analyst serves as a technical specialist for Operating System (OS) assets, with a focus on the Windows environment. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, analyzing the risk of changes, and ensuring compliance with security standards across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and isolated/cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an OS technical specialist with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Review, identify, and report problems with the installation and operations of OS assets and potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Identify, monitor, analyze, and report on the status of all OS vulnerabilities (including Windows, Unix, Mainframe, etc.).
  • Assess, audit, and validate compliance with OS SRGs and STIGs.
  • Determine the impact and risk of submitted change requests and participate in meetings to provide cyber oversight for OS changes.
  • Recommend security countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Provide recommendations for OS vulnerability analysis, guidance, and deficiency resolution to DISA customers and Mission Partners.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification: Current DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification.
  • Experience:
    • Five or more years of relevant/recent experience with Microsoft Windows Server, .NET Framework, IIS, and cybersecurity.
    • Three or more years of relevant/recent experience with Microsoft Office products.
