Job Description
Summary: This position will primarily work with external customers on software upgrades, conversions, and infrastructure as well as other business needs. Will also be back up for the IT Infrastructure Manager for internal network support. Ability to manage a constant flow of work and deal with changing priorities is a must. Work in a team to support the implementation and programming staff members with scheduled deployment of software installations and upgrades. Possess the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people. Teamwork and collaboration are key. This position will collaborate internally and externally to service the hub of dairy technology stakeholders and be a team player that focuses on the dairy industry and its uniqueness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work within Microsoft SQL Server database and collaborate with customers to remotely perform upgrades to software database.
  • Support and monitor on a daily basis: Microsoft Windows server technologies (Server 2012/2016) operating systems, Exchange, DNS and Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.
  • Work with Project Manager to determine timeline for software upgrades
  • Explain the upgrade process and timeline to the customer and assess customer site for readiness
  • Perform upgrade for customer to install software updates; Work with Implementation Team to perform post upgrade support
  • Administer Microsoft Windows Server: Account Management, File Management, Active Directory Management, Group Policy Administration, Implementing Server Roles, DNS/DHCP, ADFS, Exchange using Office 365.
  • Experience with VMware is required.
  • VMware, experienced in management of ESX virtual hosts (Hyper-V experience ok too, just VMware preferred)
  • Provide support for Office 365 and AWS Cloud Environment
  • Provide Tier II desktop, server, networking and application support, troubleshoot and resolve high level technical issues through JIRA ticketing system including new user setups, line of business application support, and hosted application support.
  • Produce, maintain and update technical documentation and tickets

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred and 4 years' experience in similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience administrating Microsoft Windows Server; Account Management, File Management, Active Directory Management, Group Policy Administration, Implementing Server Roles, DNS/DHCP, ADFS.
• Network troubleshooting skills - Layer 2 and 3 switches, VLANs, VPN connections, Routing.
• VMware: ESX
• Web Services: IIS, Apache, Tomcat
• Understanding of one or more storage technologies, such as Fiber Channel SAN, iSCSI and other high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, 10GbE, etc)
• Cross-platform OS knowledge [Linux and Windows] both workstation and server
• Experience supporting cloud applications such as Office 365 and AWS
• Experience supporting Identity Access Management solutions. Such as LDAP, RSA, ADFS or RADIUS
• Shell or Bash scripting experience
