Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and prepare surfaces after applying sealants to ensure proper adhesion and durability.
  • Apply primer, silicone, sealant, and other materials to commercial glass installations, including different windows systems, curtain walls and storefronts.
  • Ensure that all joints, seams, and edges are properly sealed to prevent air and water infiltration.
  • Work closely with installation teams to ensure that all caulking tasks are completed to industry standards.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization at the job site.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to learn the Glazing trade.
  • Proven experience as a commercial glass caulker or in a similar role within the construction or glazing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of caulking materials and techniques, including silicone, polyurethane, and primers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations related to glazing and caulking.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with commercial glazing or window installation.
  • Certification or training in safety practices or glazing techniques.
  • Ability to understand project drawings and manufacture installation instructions.
