Job description

Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer / Lead Workstation Engineer
Location: Washington, DC - (Hybrid)
Clearance: Public Trust

Job Summary:
Seeking a senior workstation engineer with strong expertise in SCCM/MECM, Windows 11, OSD, application deployment, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Group Policy. The role will lead enterprise workstation engineering, automation, imaging, software deployment, migrations, troubleshooting, and endpoint lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SCCM/MECM OSD, software packaging, deployment, and compliance.
  • Manage Windows imaging, task sequences, drivers, and configurations.
  • Develop PowerShell automation for workstation management and reporting.
  • Support workstation migrations, upgrades, integrations, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, AppLocker, and endpoint security.
  • Manage Windows endpoints in a co-managed SCCM/MECM + Microsoft Intune environment.
  • Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Process changes and incidents through ServiceNow/ITSM.
  • Collaborate with vendors, technical teams, and stakeholders on workstation solutions.
  • Participate in on-call, after-hours support, and disaster recovery activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree with 7+ years of experience, Master s with 3+ years, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert-level SCCM/MECM experience.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Strong Windows 11, Active Directory, and Group Policy experience.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and workstation troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ServiceNow tickets.

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft Intune, Azure, Windows Server 2019/2022/2025.
  • Certificate management and LDAP.
  • ITIL v4 knowledge.
  • SCCM, SCOM, InfoBlox DNS, BigFix.
  • Ricoh printer/enterprise print management experience.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
