About The Role

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing superior customer service and support for inside sales calls and serves as the primary contact for assigned Value Windows and Doors' customers. This position acts as a business liaison for the window and doors sales and distribution to various types of customers (i.e., homeowners, contractors, and dealers).

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing superior customer service and support for inside sales calls and serves as the primary contact for assigned Value Windows and Doors' customers. This position acts as a business liaison for the window and doors sales and distribution to various types of customers (i.e., homeowners, contractors, and dealers).


What You’ll Do

  • Provide an accurate and timely response to customer inquiries through various channels of communication.

  • Partner with the Sales Manager and Sales Account Manager(s) to provide prompt solutions to customer inquiries and concerns.

  • Take Off Order Entry, Corrections, Version Tracking and Record Keeping.

  • Act as the technical expert to educate customers on Value Windows & Doors products.

  • Support the order fulfillment process by working extensively with production personnel, credit, and delivery team members.

  • Make outbound calls to targeted customers with a focus to strengthen customer relationship.

  • Process and review orders and requests received in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Provide system generated quotations to all customers.

  • Report on competitor pricing when available.

  • Communicate with and treat all departments, company personnel, and customers with courtesy, integrity, respect, and professionalism.

  • Adhere to all facets of ethical policies and procedures.

  • Provide a detailed report of quotes not converted into actual orders, when requested.

  • Plan ship dates for orders.

  • Other duties and special projects as the need arises.


Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, retail sales, and/or call center utilizing an enterprise system.

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

  • Window/Millwork knowledge is a plus, but not required.

  • Experience reading CAD drawings preferred, but not required.

  • Relevant experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple departments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.

  • Basic understanding of the sales administration process.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Basic knowledge of residential building codes.

  • Ability to read and interpret plan sets for single-family homes, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), duplexes, and residential structures up to two stories. 12. Proficiency in basic mathematics, including fractions, arithmetic, and geometry, for accurate measurement and calculation in sales activities.

  • Weekend availability, as required by customer demand and business needs.


Training & Education

  • High School Diploma or GED or a combination of education and work experience is a must. Associates (AA) degree a plus.

  • Read, write, and understand English language is a must.

  • Bilingual (any other secondary language) a must.

  • Computer literacy is a must with the ability to learn new computer software programs.
