WAGE RANGE: $15.00-$19.00

JOB SUMMARY
Main duties include but are not limited to janitorial and light maintenance, inside and outside facility cleanliness, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by store management personnel. Serves as janitorial and also a contact for customers purchasing fuel, store products, and services including washing windshields, and checking tires and oil per contract requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Promotes guest service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality service.
  2. Provides services, including fueling trucks, washing windshields, at the request of the customers.
  3. Dispenses propane safely into propane bottles and vehicles.
  4. Works in a fast-paced environment and handles multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Adheres to strict cleaning and sanitation standards for maintaining the restrooms and shower facilities.
  6. Performs janitorial duties throughout the facility including mopping, sweeping, trash removal, laundry, and other light and heavy cleaning activities.
  7. Will work cooperatively with co-workers, follow established lines of authority, share pertinent information with co-workers and management as required to meet specific deadlines, and provide friendly and prompt service to customers.
  8. Promotes a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly work environment for employees and guests.
  9. Promptly report all concerns to the supervisor.
  10. Adheres to established policies, procedures, and regulatory laws and codes.
  11. Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, materials, etc., are maintained and handled safely.
  12. When scheduled outside, pressure washes fuel Islands and sidewalks, wipes down fuel dispensers, maintains annual painting and upkeep, replenishes window wash buckets, empties trash, and sweeps lot and sidewalk.
  13. Promotes internal guest service standards by treating employees and guests with courtesy and respect.
  14. Other related duties such as addressing and assessing the facility needs and safety.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Six (6) months of experience with various janitorial duties such as sanitizing, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, and dusting.
  2. Demonstrate an employment record that supports longevity.
  3. Effective verbal and written communication skills ensure the ability to read and follow directions on equipment, cleaning chemicals, and instructions.
  4. Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  5. Stand and/or walk for long periods; able to tolerate exposure to adverse weather conditions; and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; lift a minimum weight of 40 pounds chest high; work with chemicals; and operate and maneuver various equipment.
  6. Requires a criminal history background check.
  7. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. One (1) year prior janitorial experience in a high-volume truck stop.
  2. Six (6) months experience in maintenance, repair, and equipment operation.
  3. High school diploma or GED.
