Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

Provide maintenance and upkeep to windows, mirrors and glass work which contributes to the overall appearance of the Hotel.  

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

  • Perform general cleaning tasks of windows, mirrors and glasswork, safely using standard hotel cleaning products, as assigned, to adhere/maintain area to standards.
  • Communicate to supervisor in written format, per department guidelines, the status of progress in assigned area.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • Ability to comprehend verbal English sufficient to understand job requests from supervisor, guest, and co-workers. Ability to understand verbal English in case of emergency situations.
  • Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions/warnings to enable the safe application of products and processes within the Hotel.  Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
  • Ability to work in unfavorable conditions which can occasionally be dusty/dirty and wet.
  • Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

Typical physical / mental demands
Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. on an intermittent basis and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use sponges, squeegee, T-bar and scissor lift.
