The Assistant Sales Manager position serves as a developmental pathway to a future Sales Manager role, offering exposure to leadership, training, performance management, and sales operations. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the Assistant Sales Manager partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to execute sales plans, support profitable growth, and help the team achieve company objectives.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, our Assistant Sales Manager, works collaboratively with the management team and other department personnel, executing a sales plan that aligns with corporate growth and objectives. The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for assisting the leadership of the sales team to profitable custom sales to further company goals.

As an Assistant Sales Manager, you will:
  • Coach, develop, and mentor sales representatives to strengthen performance, accountability, and internal bench strength.
  • Lead performance evaluations, identify strengths and gaps, and build clear development plans for each team member.
  • Partner with the Sales Manager to deliver ongoing sales and product training that drives results.
  • Own daily lead flow and appointment assignment, ensuring fair coverage and consistent opportunity across the team.
  • Track KPIs, sales results, and profitability metrics to drive revenue and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring, CRM accuracy, reporting (OBRs), and close pre-qualified leads as needed in a one-call-close environment.
  • Step into the field as needed to run leads, support the team, and help close sales opportunities
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience leading, coaching, or developing sales team members.
  • 1+ years of documented success in direct Business-to-Consumer sales.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience supporting or delivering sales training, onboarding, or ongoing development programs.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to track performance and manage sales activity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, adaptable, and results-focused in a fast-paced sales setting.

$130,000 - $140,000 a year
Base Salary: $75,000 per year
First-Year On-Target Earnings: $130,000+ (base + performance-based bonus/commission)
Temporary Advancement Opportunities: High-performing Assistant Sales Managers may serve as an Interim Sales Manager for a location vacancy, earning Sales Manager pay during the assignment.
