Description

The Service/Measure Technician will be responsible for providing expert measurements for remodeling projects, as well as delivering excellent service during all phases of the customer experience. This role will ensure that all service requests are addressed promptly and professionally, while providing accurate measurements to ensure the success of upcoming installations. The Service/Measure Technician will be a key point of contact for customers, offering friendly, knowledgeable support and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the service process.

Key Responsibilities:Measurement & Site Evaluation:
  • Take accurate measurements of customers' homes to ensure proper sizing of products for installation.
  • Assess job sites for any challenges or special conditions that may affect installation or product fitting.
  • Record detailed information and communicate findings to the project team to ensure proper product selection and installation planning.
Customer Service & Relationship Building:
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer questions or concerns before, during, and after the measurement.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor, building trust with customers through strong communication and service.
  • Serve as a customer liaison to ensure clear communication regarding service expectations and timelines.
Service Call Completion & Documentation
  • Complete service calls within established timeframes and document all interactions, measurements, and site assessments accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and vehicle.
  • Prepare and submit service documentation to ensure proper follow-up and accurate records for future work.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with installation teams to provide them with accurate measurements and site-specific information.
  • Communicate any potential issues or adjustments to the Service Manager and the installation team.
  • Assist in resolving any customer concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.

Adherence to Safety & Company Standards:

  • Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and local regulations while on job sites.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of all equipment, tools, and technology needed for service calls.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and quality in all interactions and measurements.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a service-related role, preferably in the home improvement or remodeling industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take accurate measurements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a busy schedule.
  • Basic understanding of home remodeling or construction preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions

  • Field-based role requiring travel to customers' homes and job sites.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
  • Flexible schedule, with some evening and weekend work based on customer needs.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods to take measurements and assess sites.
