Job Summary
Windows USA is looking for an experienced Window Measure Technician to support our growing replacement window business. This is a field-based 1099 contractor opportunity for someone with a strong background in window measuring, installation, carpentry, remodeling, or construction.
The Measure Technician plays a critical role after the sale by visiting customer homes, verifying project measurements, identifying installation considerations, and documenting the details needed to ensure a smooth installation process. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently in the field, and committed to delivering a professional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Visit sold jobs to verify accurate window measurements and project specifications
  • Assess labor, materials, installation conditions, and any jobsite details that could impact the project
  • Identify potential installation challenges and communicate solutions clearly
  • Provide practical installation recommendations that align with customer expectations and project requirements
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of construction basics, remodeling, and window installation practices
  • Follow established Windows USA processes, documentation standards, and measurement procedures
  • Complete accurate paperwork, photos, notes, and job-related documentation in a timely manner
  • Communicate professionally with customers, sales representatives, operations, and installation teams
  • Help ensure customer satisfaction by confirming that proposed solutions and installation approaches are clearly understood

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of carpentry, finishing, remodeling, construction, or related field experience preferred
  • Window installation and/or window measuring experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take precise measurements
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a field schedule
  • Comfortable using an iPad, tablet, or mobile device for job documentation
  • Reliable transportation required
    Working Conditions
    Outdoor and indoor residential environments
    Physically demanding work including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
    Travel required within the designated region
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation estimated at $650 per week, plus $40 per completed measure appointment
