Commercial Window Fabricator – Build High-Performance Commercial Glazing and Aluminum Systems


Job Overview

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:00 AM start).
  • Project Scope: Glazing / Commercial Windows / Glass
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity

You will play a hands-on role in our 20,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, directly assembling the architectural systems that define the Chicago skyline. This position offers you a stable, long-term career path with a 60-year industry leader where you will master the art of glazing fabrication and glass system assembly.


How You Will Make an Impact
  • Operate specialized aluminum saws and fabrication machinery to cut materials with high precision.
  • Utilize hand tools, drills, and impacts to prepare and assemble complex aluminum window frames.
  • Assist in the custom fabrication of break metal components according to technical shop drawings.
  • Interpret tape measures and architectural plans to ensure all components meet exact project specifications.
  • Manage logistics by loading outgoing project trucks and safely unloading incoming material deliveries.
  • Maintain a safe and organized shop environment while meeting daily production and assembly goals.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a construction, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop. Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proven ability to read a tape measure accurately and use basic power tools safely.
  • Physical capability to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Prior experience with aluminum systems, architectural metals, or commercial glazing.
  • Possession of an OSHA 10 Safety Certification.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, team-oriented production setting.
