Job description

Hiring: 2 Cleaners — Greenwood, IN (Commercial Cleaning + Window Washing)

Greenwood, IN 46142 — Greenwood Park Mall

ABOUT THE ROLE

North Co Commercial Cleaning is hiring two cleaners for recurring commercial cleaning and window washing at a retail store inside Greenwood Park Mall. This is occasional, per-project work — not steady weekly hours, not full or part time. It's a foot in the door for extra income, and reliable people get first pick of new jobs as they open in the area. You'll follow our checklist and check in and out through our app so the job is tracked and you get paid fast. The store name is released once you're hired and onboarding.

THIS IS A 2-PERSON JOB — READ THIS PART

We're hiring two people for this location, and you'll work it together. We hire each person separately, so you're not responsible for finding a partner. We prefer the two hires not be related or in a relationship — that way if something comes up for one of you, we still have coverage.

You're welcome to bring your own helper, but you'd be splitting your one spot's pay with them. We still hire a second person regardless.

Two spots — soonest confirmed spots win.

LOCATION

Greenwood Park Mall — Greenwood, IN 46142

SCHEDULE & PAY

Date: being finalized — early morning start (around 6:00 AM)

Frequency: recurring, about once every 3 months

Pay: $85 per person, per visit — flat, covers both the cleaning and the windows.

Per-person hourly: roughly $33–37/hr based on time on site.

Time on site as a team: about 2–2.5 hours total (windows about 45 min–1 hr, store about 1.5–2 hrs).

Everything runs through the app — check in, before/after photos, check out. Pay averages 24–48 hours after the job is confirmed and the store manager is happy. Skipping photos or check-in/out is what slows it down.

Parking: reimbursed only with a receipt showing date, time in, time out, place, and total price. Missing any of that, no reimbursement.

SCHEDULE NOTE

Tell us the days you CAN'T work. Once a date is set it's firm — the store sends a manager to open up for us, so the dates don't move.

THE WORK

This is the general scope, but duties are not limited to just these — some jobs may include other related tasks. You'll get the detailed checklist after onboarding.

Commercial Cleaning: Sweep, dust mop, and vacuum all floors, including corners and edges. Mop hard floors. Remove gum, stickers, and debris. Dust shelving, fixtures, ledges, and vents. Wipe down counters and display cases. Empty trash and replace liners. Clean and disinfect the restroom if present.

Window Washing: Clean entry door glass inside and out. Polish handles, sills, and doorplates. Remove spider webs, gum, debris, and tape. Squeegee and detail all glass edges and corners. Wipe ledges dry.

Split it however works — one person on glass, one on floors, dusting, and trash. Whoever finishes first jumps in to help so you leave as a team.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 21 or older.

Prior cleaning experience — commercial or residential, as long as you know how to clean.

Window washing experience with a scrubber and squeegee — required.

Reliable personal transportation — if your vehicle breaks down often or you share it, you'll need a backup plan.

Strong communication — checking in, responding, and keeping us updated. This is number one.

Comfortable completing a standard onboarding screening.

SUPPLIES

Bring your own and earn a bonus: $10 per visit for cleaning supplies, $5 for window supplies, $15 if you bring both. North Co can also provide everything — no bonus, totally fine either way. Just tell us what you have: all, some, or none.

Commercial: Mop and bucket and/or flat mop with extra pads, broom and dust pan, dust mop (optional), all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, microfiber cloths, dusting tool, restroom cleaner.

Window: Professional window scrubber/applicator, squeegee, glass cleaning solution, microfiber or scrim cloths, scraper or razor, bucket.

Step stool or short ladder: not required, but handy for the tops of windows and high dusting. An extension pole works too.

DRESS CODE

Slip-resistant shoes required — we'll help you get a pair if needed. Clean, plain blue or black shirt (branded North Co shirt provided at 3 months). Gloves optional. Jeans or non-athletic shorts — no rips, no sweatpants, nothing revealing. Jewelry minimal. Hat on or hair tied back. Arrive clean and presentable.

PHOTOS & CHECK-OUT

Before and after photos of every area, through the app. Both of you check out with the store manager before leaving — get their name and confirm they're happy. If anything needs a touch-up, fix it on the spot.

COMMUNICATION

This is the most important part of the job. Check in, respond, and keep us updated throughout. Reliable communicators get first pick of new jobs as they open.

TO APPLY

Apply here and you'll get a few quick screening questions by message — that's how we interview at this stage.
