Window design refers to the process of planning, creating, and specifying windows for buildings, taking into account both aesthetics and functionality. This includes selecting window styles, materials, sizes, and placements to enhance natural light, ventilation, energy efficiency, and architectural appeal. Window designers work closely with architects, builders, and clients to ensure the windows complement the building's overall design and meet safety and performance standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a window designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Window Designer, you need strong skills in architectural design, spatial visualization, and familiarity with building materials, typically supported by a degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling tools, and knowledge of building codes and energy efficiency standards are essential. Creativity, attention to detail, and effective communication are important soft skills for collaborating with clients and contractors.
