Responsibilities:
  • Cleans, strips, seals, and waxes floors in assigned areas using proper machines and procedures.
  • Cleans and disinfects isolation areas using proper isolation procedures.
  • Washes walls, lights, vents, and fans using ladders if necessary.
  • Performs trash removal from designated areas as assigned.
  • Moves furniture throughout hospital and satellite areas.
  • Shampoos carpets using various chemicals and machines.
  • Operates auto scrubber in hallways and burnishes floors using hi-speed buffing machines.
  • Cleans elevators and washes windows, using ladders if necessary.
  • Completes room set ups and day calls as assigned.
  • Performs minor mechanical repairs to housekeeping equipment, oils and greases equipment as needed.
  • Changes window blinds, draperies, and cubicle curtains as needed.

Schedule: Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. 3PM-11PM but can be pulled to other shifts/days/areas if needed based on hospital needs.
